Donations

The Museum is an endorsed deductible gift recipient* and welcomes enquiries from individuals wishing to donate or bequest material related to Australia's military intelligence activities (Contact the Curator or the Secretary of the Aust Int Corps Association). Before you do contact us we would ask that you consider a few points:
  • An artefacts value to our collection will be much greater if you can provide us with as much information as possible, including where possible:
    • Who was the owner? What is your relationship to that person?
    • Where was/were the object(s) used?
    • Who made the object(s) (person, trademark, artist, author, photographer etc)
    • What is the military intelligence provenance (history/significance) for – ‘place’; ‘people’; ‘organisation’; or ‘topic/theme’ for any of the objects?

  • If you think you have such artefacts you will need to:

* Endorsement as a deductible gift recipient under Subdivision 30-BA of the Australian Income Tax Assessment Act 1977 is provided under item 12.1.3 "public museum", for the Museum of Australian Military Intelligence. Provision for gift deductibility is under:
  • Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the aforementioned Act
  • Item 4 of the table in section 30-15 of the aforementioned Act
  • Subdivision 30-D of the aforementioned Act
